TESTIMONIALS

As the leader of SP Care Group, I had the opportunity to attend the recent mental health training course alongside a dedicated group of ten doctors from our organisation. This course was a much-needed initiative, particularly given the rising prevalence of mental health issues in our communities. It provided invaluable insights into managing mental health concerns within a general practice setting, equipping our team with practical skills and strategies that we can implement immediately. The lecturers, experts in their field and dedicated to making mental health care accessible, presented complex topics compellingly that fostered a deeper understanding of mental health's critical role in our patients' overall well-being.

Additionally, the course served as a timely reminder for us to reflect on our mental health, highlighting the importance of self-care in our demanding profession. The knowledge and insights we gained empower us to better support our patients while also taking care of ourselves as healthcare providers. I wholeheartedly recommend this course to any general practitioner looking to enhance their skills in mental health management; it is an essential investment in both professional development and patient care.

As a houseman who is interested in psychiatry, this is a really useful course that guided me to refresh and also learn from diagnosis till management of the common psychiatry illnesses. I attended and completed this course from my 4th posting till 5th posting smoothly as it is a 6 month long course and I could learn along with my personal own pace without in hurry. The speakers in this course are good at teaching and delivering the lectures with their enriched clinical experience. This course definitely guided and prepared me to my coming elective 6th posting in psychiatry department as well as if I encountered any patients with common psychiatric illnesses when I do locum at GP later, knowing when shall I refer patients to psychiatrist or admission to hospital. I really appreciate the existence of this course.

This course was a game-changer! The lectures were incredibly insightful, equipping me with the practical skills and confidence to handle mental health cases right within my practice. A must-attend for any GP looking to improve patient care!

This course gave me the tools I needed to confidently handle mental health concerns within the general practice framework. The lecturers were passionate and shared real-world insights that made learning easy.

I found the course to be educational and helpful for me to gain confidence in treating patients with mental health issues. It helped that I had a few years experience in Psychiatry Department in Hospital Kuala Lumpur as a medical officer in the past.

As a General Practitioner now, I come across a gamut of psychiatric cases. Previously, if any case required more than counselling, I would refer the case to the government hospital psychiatrist. After this 6-month course, I will be able to treat straightforward cases and know when I should refer them for tertiary care.

I used the teaching modules as my guide and researched further if I needed more information. The 1400 questions in the bank with explained answers were instrumental to highlight important facts to remember.

Puan Syariffah Syazwana Aljunid, the IT Officer, was always available and acted as my conduit of communication if I had any queries.

I am very excited to put my learning into practice. I am keen to learn how to use the online platform to see patients and am interested in how we can prescribe necessary medications and issue sick certificates despite using teleconsultations.

Thank you Professor Andrew Mohanraj and all the other incredible lecturers for imparting knowledge to us with dedication and sincerity. We hope we can do your teaching justice in our future work in mental health within our community.
